About
I'm a senior data science leader with 10+ years building clinical AI systems on real-world EHR and claims data. My work spans public health agencies, commercial insurance, and academic research — giving me an unusually broad view of how health data actually behaves, and where models succeed or fail in practice.
At Contra Costa Health Services I lead a multidisciplinary data science team, setting technical direction and managing delivery from stakeholder scoping through deployment. Previously at Carelon (Elevance Health), I worked with health records from the largest insurer in the US, applying large-scale claims and EHR data to build clinical AI tools for enterprise-wide use.
I bring deep expertise in Epic — certified in Cogito, experienced in Clarity SQL and ETL, and a repeat presenter at Epic's Machine Learning and User Group conferences. My research has been published in the Annals of Internal Medicine and Health Services Research.
